I've tried searching but to no avail can I get the info that I want. So I am asking some fellow gamers for help!!! A friend has recently let me try out guild wars on his computer and I'm kind of liking it. He told me to buy the game of the year edition because it has all 3 campaigns. I've tried googling this but can't find any info on it. Then I was told by some one else that I need to buy the trilogy because GOTY only has the starter campaign Prophecy. Does any one know which is needed? What comes in each? Also how many character slots do I get in GOTY compared to Trilogy? Thanks to all who answer in advance!Question about Guild wars Game of the Year and Trilogy.?
You should get Trilogy for all three games. GOTY has only Prophecies and on sale at times, the extension pack "Eye of the North". The GOTY pack comes with some bonuses though, like high stat weapons for every core class and a fire imp of your level you can summon to help you till you reach level 20. In GOTY, you get only 4 character slots while in the trilogy, you will get 8.
To get it, go to the official website. Simply goggle Guild Wars and the official website will come on. I got mine by downloading it and playing the 10hr free. 2 hours of play time and I knew that it was gonna be worth the money.
Cheers.Question about Guild wars Game of the Year and Trilogy.?
You'll want the trilogy. It comes with Prophecy, Factions, and Nightfall. GOTY only comes with prophecies. Character slots I think with the trilogy is a total of 8 but I'm not sure, haven't played in a while. The trilogy is at target for like 35 bucks, which is a real bargain, I bought them each for 30$ when they came out. Make sure you have a lot of room on your computer, it takes a lot of space. Try target.com they might have any other info I missed.
