Guild Wars used to have trial codes on their site, but I think they discontinued them because of gold sellers abusing them. They'd set up trial accounts to spam gold selling ads ingame and use it until the account was banned.

I would recommend looking at fileplanet.com, they generally have a lot of demos, trials and betas, and having done the Guild Wars beta myself, I would hope that now that the game has been out for some time, they have the trial there.If not try the main website guildwars.com, other than that I would google search it. The game itself is actually pretty cheap to buy and it is a lot of fun even though I have really only been a WoW person lately. Good luck!

Tiral keys should be pretty easy to get. Head to http://guildwars.com and they might just give you one. If not you can get one for a couple of dollars at a game store and demo all three games.

You need the codes because that will give you access for the 10 hours and then when that 10 hours is done the code will automatically expire. Some codes only allow one or two or all three campaigns of GW.

Your best bet is to just buy the game, games like this just are not worth playin with the trials and or Illegally!!! you'll have better success just paying the $15 a month for WoW or how ever much Guild Wars charges. You should be able to run it fine, sure. I can run Guild Wars at like 1000 frames per second on full settings, and my friend plays online with me and his computer is literally about as s***ty as a computer could possibly be in 2008. So I'm gonna say definitely yes, it will run at a playable framerate at minimum.

I play Guild wars myself, but it lags during the times you are anywhere but in the explorable areas. If WOW is lagging for you, you might have some issues. I run a Dell inspiron b130 notebook, so depends on your operating system. You also might just want to download the client from Guildwars.com, instead of installing the whole game.

You add the access key (giving you unlimited playtime) to your existing account (which right now has the trial key only), but nothing in the account changes - your characters remain, your progress is the same, everything. If you have downloaded the free trial client and used the free trial access key and then buy the game you will get a full account key. This you apply to your account, and continue playing, using the same characters.
A free trial key can only be used once, and once it expires you can no longer play. However, the characters remain, and whenever you get a full account key you can apply it to your account and continue playing.
You cannot use the same key twice.

Suffice it to say - if you have played using a free trial at any point and know the login to it, and buy the game, you can continue using the same characters/progression.

Let's start at the beginning... to play Guild Wars, you create(d) a new Guild Wars account on which you log in (using your email address and password). Then you add the trial Access Key to that account, which allows you to play for a certain number of days. You can then create one or more characters, log into the game and play.
After the trial period, the trial access key becomes invalid, but the account (and everything on it) will still exist... and you will still be able to login to the main page of that account, you just cannot cannot play anymore until you add another (valid) key from the retail (or digital purchase) version. You can add several keys to the same game account (for example from different campaigns, or bonus content), and each key that you add will give you access to more content in the same... for the same character(s).
So once you receive the purchased version, all you need to do, is login to your existing account and add the access key from that purchased version to that account. That will unlock the game (and everything on it) again for you to play, and you will be able to continue exactly where you stopped during your free trial, with the character(s) that you created during your free trial. You do not have to reinstall the game using the retail version that you buy, you do not have to create a new account and start from scratch, all you need to do is add the key from the retail version to your existing account. You could compare it to adding prepay credit on a mobile phone... once your credit runs out, you add a new key to your prepaid account to charge up the balance, but you keep the same phone, the same network and the same calls history.

Actually the code costs like 2 bucks at Gamestop, and the reason it is not free, is because the game isn't Pay to Play, so them giving you a free trial would be like basically giving you the game utterly free for 2 weeks or however long it is, and with the free trial you don't have any limiations and you can continue that selected character if you decide to purchase the retail verison. What you downloaded is probably the game client, but this is for playing the game if you already have an account and it doesn't include a free trial. Age of Conan - The combos for melee give it more of an action type feel. Plus fatalities are nasty looking.



Warhammer: Age of Reckoning - If you like PvP, you have to at least try this game. You can level up through PvP alone and not have to worry about PvE'ing at all for xp or gear.



Dungeon Fighter Online - Free to play! You do everything with your character in an RPG way, but then you fight in side scrolling beat-em-up dungeons.

I came across Knight Online when I was just randomly searching for a good MMORPG to get into鈥?and it looks pretty good for a free game although to connect to the utmost of the servers during prime time, paid premium is required. Leveling and hunting is so fun, and the party system is really good.
Perfect world international is a pretty good game, PVP, PVE, territory wars, instanced dungeons awesome character customization.

All the new copies of Guild Wars also include a limited time demo of the other games in the series.



There are three Guild Wars games: Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. There is also the Eyes of the North expansion pack. You have full access to which ever one you purchased (which might be more than one depending on whether or not you got a game pack.)



As long as you create a character in the Guild Wars game you actually own there will be no problems when your trial expires. If you did create a character from another game you will lose access to that character until you buy that particular game.



There are a lot of versions of the games avialable in the store inside Guild Wars, but for simplicity sake, I'd recommend buying them from a real-life store.

i was if i should buy city of heroes or guild wars.i have played both games i found city of heroes cool and fun with teams but getting a team is hard,i also thought i had some cool powers and stuff but after a while it got boring and it has a monthly fee

Guild Wars...BUY THE TRILOGY PACK, they make it useless if you buy anything else.



I played guild wars after city of heroes, i thought it was waay more beautiful but the players weren't as connected. you probably should join a active guild to optimize your fun. The players are more casual. In PvP no game can compare to the skill and strat it takes in guild wars pvp.



City of Heroes...You get a lot out of that 15 bucks. Join a crowded server like freedom, because the numbers are dropping in CoH/CoV. Its a lot of fun for more hardcore gamers who usually play everyday. You get to connect to a lot of players esp. if you meet them when ur low and lvl up with them until your level 50. The powers in city of heroes are cool looking, like in what other game can you super jump, or shoot lasers out your eye? The pvp is a bit lame and there isn't much replay of your 50s. This new AE is kind of ruining the game also, but I can tell you its the most unique game out there.



Guild Wars: Casual Gamers

+ Beautiful (Great Amours and Environments, cutscene talking)

+ Best PvP

+ No monthly cost

- Not much of a community when you are not in a guild

- Some areaes a bit lacking esp. in pve

What are good MMORPG's without item-mall?

I have been looking for a good full 3d MMORPG however all that look like they are good have an item mall resulting in a "the more real life cash you pay the better you become"-system. this is something I absolutely dislike. I dont mind it if the game is free to play with membership options (like runescape) or free trial after witch you buy the game (like guildwars), I would also not mind paying a monthly subscription even (however the other 2 are preferred for me, as id rather not spend money if I can help it). However i found no games like that.



Below I have a list of things that I would like the ideal mmorpg to have (in no perticular order), although I can understand if no mmorpg actualy lives up to all those so feel free to not meet all demands:



-I want the gave to have PvP features.

-I want a social community, not one that swears flames scams as much as they can.

-I would like the MMORPG to have anime like graphics.

-I would like it if there was a big class system, not just mage, ranger, healer, warrior. But something more.

-I want there to be some secondary skills too

-I want the theme to be fantasy or martial arts.

-Any aspect making the game not just another clone of something but makes it unique

your going to love the game dude it is a one time fee not a monthly fee the graphics are so much better and the missions make you think a lot more.... i started out in prophecies game but to be honest that's the hardest one I recommend every one starts out in nightfall makes the other games so much easier nightfall has a great learning introduction that teaches you how to play the game before you play were prophecies drops you right in the middle of war

1st. Guild War 2 isnt coming out until mid-2010

2nd. Getting the trilogy pack along with Eye of The North, is your best option. You will get access to every skill, and trust me once you finish prophecies you will want to move on to the next campaign.

Unless you are referring to 'Factions', GW 2 is not out yet and has no known release date at this time. Factions and Nightfall are both stand alone games, Eye of the North is the only true expansion. You should get all of the regular games first, but you don't have to. You can buy whichever ones you wish to play, as long as you don't buy just Eye of the North. The extras are always available in the NCSoft store once you load your games. They are an additional charge though, but the bright side is, there's no monthly fee.

Nope, Access codes cost money. Don't expect strangers on the internet to run out and buy one for you. If you want to play you need to buy the game yourself or get your parents to buy it.

ive played world of warcraft and its addicting but i dont feel like paying the 15 bucks monthly so keep playing the 10 day free trial and keep making new accounts. does anyone know any games that are good alternatives to WOW?

Well you can pay for a longer membership to WoW for a reduced monthly fee. I think if you buy a years subscription it amounts to about $12 a month. That is still too much for me, I just pay around $5-7 bucks a month for a RuneScape membership. The game may not have as good graphics, but it is a very well balanced game, it has been out for a while and gets weekly updates.



You can also have a house you can make, but some players need good graphics for a game to be playable. In my opinion, all it lacks is graphics. I prefer good gameplay over graphics so it doesn't bother me, and the longer you play the more addicting it becomes.
i dont know of any that are free. no good ones anyways. if you want to play a halfway decent MMORPG, you're going to pay a fee. that being said, i play final fantasy 11. its like an world of warcraft for advanced players.Is there an alternative to world of warcraft?

go to the homepage/site of guildwars where you created that account and visit your account info page there so as to reset something that can be done. if you can provide the full info of that account, i guess you will be able to reset that password. but if the info had been changed also by someone else, then you have no more options to use, instead to create a new account.

You might have a bad disc. Try left clicking start then select run and browse to find drive e and select it. See what's there. Select either setup.exe or autorun.exeE: drive wont work?

Go to device manager and see if E drive is listed and as what. If it is there you can delete it and let the computer find it. If it cannot find it after rebooting, it may be defective.

Guild Wars is all about the guilds, at least it is if you don't want to play the storyline by completing quests. :) I have two different friends that have created specialty guilds and they have so much fun running their guilds that I don't think they've done a quest in months. One started a guild that specializes in escorting newbie players, also called running. They charge in game gold to run players to places that the player couldn't get to alone. My other friend started a merchants guild, and he and his guild members spend their in game time buying and selling rare weapons and pets and other items. I don't know if that's the kind of 'other things' you're referring to, but Guild Wars is definitely more than just completing quests.Need Help- GuildWars Question- Best Answer Will Be Chosen.?

There's other things you can do. You can try merchanting...you can try searching for gold weapons...you can search for elite skills...you can try PvP. The list goes on.

If you want to play an assassin you need to buy Factions. You don't need the first game. Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are all stand-alone games that have the ability to link up together. However if you enjoy the game, I'd recommend getting all 4 games (an expansion Eye of the North is also available). You'll have a much richer experience with all 4.DO i need to buy guild wars before the nightfall thing?
You need to buy Guild Wars Faction. It has assasains and ritualists. And no you don't need to buy the first box. (But I recomend geting nightfall because of Dervishes and Paragons) And yes you can download regular guildwars and use the key. :) hope u have a good time with your annoying tooth ache. lol

Their is no Trial key on the website, but a 14 day one comes with the games. Best thing you can do is ask a friend, the game is pretty cheap though at around 30 bucks, and then no paymens after that

Okay, I'm very young. I've just turned thirteen. This isn't about vampires or anything. In fact, I haven't even read Twilight. Anyway, this is the second part of the beginning to my first book in my series, The Bartholomew Trilogy. It's Called 'Bartholomew's Guild'. I want you to tell me if this interests you. Sighing with boredom, Malcolm lazily flipped open a newspaper and kicked his feet up onto the counter. Rain was pouring all around, the dingy fluorescent light of the small guard booth barely lighting the flooding parking lot.

Getting tired of the silence, he turned up the volume on the radio, on which Mick Jagger was singing his heart out.

“War, children, it's just a shot away! It's just a shot away! War, children, it's just a shot away! It's just a shot away! Ooh, see the fire is sweepin' My very street today! Burns like a red coal carpet Mad bull lost its way! War, children, it's just a shot away! It's just a shot away! War, children, it's just a shot away! It's just a shot away!”

Turning the page, Malcolm happened to glance up. Standing in a frighteningly stiff way, with her black hood pulled over her face, was a young woman. She seemed to have just appeared out of nowhere, of all places.

Malcolm’s stone began to glow brightly in her line of vision.

Turning off the Radio and standing up, Malcolm squinted through the window. She was just…standing. Never moving. Staring at the rain falling around her feet. Convincing himself there was no danger, Malcolm pressed his stone to his heart, making it dissipate into a dim yet warm glow. He pushed the door to the booth open, pulling on his rain jacket and taking a large step down. Water coated his face as he took steps towards her, the light in the booth flickering as the wind picked up.

“Hullo?”

Staring.

“Miss, are you alright?”

Looking up.

“I said—”

All at once, something came thumping from the darkness—something large. Something animal-like. Something terrible.

A sickening scream of pain cut through the darkness like a knife to butter. Malcolm collapsed on the ground, holding the bloody bite mark on his leg. His stone was glowing as brightly as a spotlight now. Looking up, his eyes already red from the werewolf’s pheromones, he managed to choke out:

“Who—Who are you?! What do you want?!” he was looking up at her, in hysterics.

More screams, grunts, and cries of pain.

The Young Woman slowly pulled back her hood, passively looking down at Malcolm. “Don’t act like you don’t know who I work for.” a smug smile came across her face. “You no longer work for your half-beast society. Your soul belongs to us.” With that, she motioned with her spindly hand.

Malcolm was overcome with fear. These were The Darks. The Ones he had been warned of. The enemy.

From the darkness stepped a giant of a man, a man with a clean cut goatee and shaggy hair. He was wearing the same black robe as the young woman. And, just as the woman did, he wore a gray band on his arm, with the initials ‘I V’ engraved into it.

“Oh no, no, no,” gasped Malcolm, dragging his leg and attempting to crawl away. “I beg of you, Dark! Please, no!”

“Cease your nonsense rants. It will get you nowhere, half-beast.”

The Parking lot echoed with blood-curdling screams of pain, but not from the Werewolf pheromones of the bite, but from the excruciating pain of having one’s soul separated from their body.Does this Interest You?
Other than your choice of Dublin for the location(up the Dubs!) I can't say I was all that interested. But each to their own :)

What do you think of this science fiction idea?

Ok, everyone, I have another question about a friend-of-mine's writing. He is writing a lengthy science fiction novel concerning an Intergalactic War that he calls the Deepspace War. It is going EXTREMELY long and has been divided, or as he projects, two trilogy. One trilogy's concerning the culmination and the start of the war. And the second is concerning the core, end, and aftermath of the war. Here's his premise:

Interplanetary warfare has become an ever growing threat to the Galaxy. The Minister of Peace, Ha-Nadel, has called for the formation of a Peace Guild and his opponent in the upcoming Galactic Prime Ministerial election, Segregationist leader Avatriu Galbatoren, plans to continue with his quest for highering the standard for sentient classification and slavery.

The book is wonderful and is really original and not a whole lot like the standard Star Wars/Trek. Please comment and tell me what you think.What do you think of this science fiction idea?
The beauty lies not in the idea, but in execution. Sorry, but I felt it silly on your behalf to go around asking whether yours was a "great idea". Some of the greatest books would sound as trash idea-wise, and many great idea become useless for want of skill.

First, Star Wars isn't standard. It is isn't even science fiction. Second, you used a three sentance summary. Are you asking me to make a Star Wars intro? Finally, you are posting the ideas of a friend. That is completely unethical.

I'll be honest, it sound's like it is some parody of Star Wars from a Family Guy or The Simpsons episode.
It sounds okay, but I couldn't help but think 'Star Wars' for a second there. It sounds good, but he might want to change up the names slightly. People will not like trying to pronounce some of these, and a few smaller names would most likely be appreciated.What do you think of this science fiction idea?
Sounds interesting. Though if politics takes over as much as it does in Dune I'd have a hard time reading it. I don't know how prevalent politics is in this plot, though. Either way it sounds like a good idea.
Sorry, but in my opinion it sounds like a rip-off of Dune.
All right, not to nit pick, but as a sci-fi writer and buff myself I can't help but ask: is it an interGALACTIC war, or an interSTELLAR war? There is a HUGE difference and the scale will change dramatically. Once you specify I'll be able to provide better input.



It's an interesting idea but its promise lies in its execution. I am writing a six-part series about an interstellar war as well revolving around a galactic U.N.-like organization. I am, however, also creating the "universe" to go with the series, complete with history, back story, technology, culture, etc.



So long as he is a good writer, has creative ideas, executes them proficiently, and has the ability to engage the reader he'll be fine.

shiver- a local boy gets killed by wolves and grace is yet again pulled into the pack by her fascination, the yellowed eyed wolf in particular, then she meets a yellow eyed boy, whose familiarity takes her breath away.

the magicians guide-a street girl gets pulled into danger when things start to go wrong around her, she's got magic, with no magician's blood how can this be possible? the troubles begin as things go wrong and people start to fight for her...

hush hush- a fallen angel ready to kill for the chance to be human and when he comes across the only person he can kill to become human, can he really kill her??

secrets of the sirens- (one of my favourites caus me and the main character share the same name) a girl gets dragged into the mythical world when she starts to snoop around, she nearly ends up dead but out comes a special gift that could save the world.

maximum ride series-they are bird kids created by scientist that are for ever on the run to get out and find their parents, however why would the people that put so much into them ever let them go? the valuable 'bird' kids or angels are constantly being chased and constantly finding new abilities.



hush hush- a fallen angel trying to turn human, will he do what ever it takes? a dragged into this problem and ends up with angels trying to kill her, all because of her new biology partner...fallen angel romance.



the forbidden game- a book i came across randomly at the airport and started to read. it led into a strange game of a powerful creature of a man trying to win her love by forceing her into a nightmare game where she has to fight with her own nightmares and even lose some of her friends?? trilogy in one book



Shiver- (one of my favourites) when a local boy is killed by wolves, Grace's small town becomes a place of fear and suspicion. but grace can't help being fascinated by the place, and by one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. there's something about him - something almost human.

then she meets a yellowed-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. (linger the second one is almost out :) /by maggie stiefvater/

noughts and crosses- (i can't help it they are all favourites!) now this one is more of a drama romance, very gripping and you have to be able to handle it. in the world of noughts and crosses

white and black. callum is a nought and sephy is a cross. the reversed real life drama of a mixed and muddled romance that can make you feel utter confused and in despair. this book really does make you loss your breath as you see the sides of the story that you never think you would see.

(look out for the little things in this book, caus each word makes you spin, you would never guess what happens next till it's happening) /series of 4 books (i think?) /by malorie blackman/



the horse whisperer- (now only read this is your old enough, i read it when i was 13, not a great thing for a young mind) this book is not about the horse but how a one small mistake can lead to a half dead half mad horse, a 14yr old girl with only one leg, an unexpected romance and a new home... maybe even death... this book is very well written, and it truly grasps everybody's emotions and how small things can destroy you.



the magicians' guild- a trilogy. a girl from the streets starts up a fuss as she is a 'natural'. her powers and magic is so strong from inside her that it starts to burst out and cause havoc. but she is not from magician blood? her strange case brings theifs and magicians battling to find her, her magic is precious and strange her strange ability brings her enemies and friends and drags her into a strange situation, and a hint of strong romance on the side.

Skeeve is a struggling apprentice who's master is assassinated while summoning a demon. Now, the demon (Aahz) is stuck with no magic to get home. Can Aahz teach Skeeve enough magic to stop the assassins and save the day?



"Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" by John LeCarre is a cold-war tale that unfolds very neatly. Retired British spy, George Smiley is drawn back into the service when suspicious events lead to fears of a KGB mole. Can Smiley root out the traitor or traitors before it is too late?



For all out comedy, try "Cadillac Beach" by Tim Dorsey. My longest loved books are Lewis Carroll's two Alice books. My deepest loved books are any and all of Jane Austen. But the two books that made the greatest impression on me at the time I came across them are H. G. Wells' "War of the Worlds," especially thrilling to a 12 year old living quite close to where the Martians first landed, and Jean Rhys' "Wide Sargasso Sea," the terribly poignant story of Mrs. Rochester, explaining how it was her husband's callous ill treatment that drove her mad. I had always thought Bronte's Jane Eyre was too goody-goody and I delighted in this take on her overly romanticized hero. Somewhat the same impression was created for me by Robert Graves' "Wife to Mr. Milton," about the poet's presumed ill-treatment of his first wife, from a royalist family, whom, according to Graves, he only married as an insurance policy in case the Roundheads should lose the Civil War.

Which MMO should I start playing?

Hi there! Now school is over and I'm financially independent from my parents, I thought about starting an MMO...I know most will say 'WoW of course' but, while I play DotA and I like the Warcraft folklore,

I'm not particurarly fond of WoW because I think I want something more contemporary...and yes, I'm aware of its expansions. Also, I think that there are way too many pro players you can't beat for **** because they've been playing for years. I've even played Lineage and thought it sucked. One game that got my attention are Lord of the Rings Online as I'm a fan of the trilogy and I find the aspect of getting to play in the landscapes and stories of the movie, online, amusing! I also found Warhammer Online pretty nice but I don't know much about it...



Lately, I set my sights upon the upcoming MMOs The Agency, DC Universe Online but mostly The Secret World. Also, having owned Guild Wars, I find GW2 interesting, although I don't really like its PvP, I think it's perfect in every other aspect!



I want to outline some things. First of all, I don't mind having to pay monthly and secondly, notice I asked for an MMO in general, not an MMORPG in particular! If you have other suggestions, please feel free to share them with me, or, if you have something good to outline for WoW, do it! But something serious, not like 'it's da best gam eva'. Last but not least, what I really want is immersion!

GW2 will have a strong PvP aspect, but just like GW1 you can never be forced to take part of PvP at all. There is no World-PvP like the gankers of WoW or Aion, raiders or griefers. PvP in GW2 will be either server vs server vs server, and contained in a single area, where there is no PvE contents, or Guild vs Guild (team vs team) in arenas.

If you don't like PvP (like me) Guild Wars 1 and 2 is perfect.

Should directors-creators plan a trilogy before the first one comes out?

Star Wars was done by Lucas but as part of the Director's guild. When he seperated from them and did Empire Strikes Back, he did it all on money from the first movie.



Terminator Salvation was declared to be first of a new trilogy, but i would think they need to see how the first new one does. All though, im sure 3 more would be great. I hope their all about the war in the future, and Arnold has said he plans a cameo in at least one of the 3.



Spiderman 4 is in the works, and SONY said before Ramni, Maguire, and Dunst even signed again that no matter the cast or director, they plan 3 new movies.

Back to the Future 2 %26amp; 3 (as well as Lord of the Rings 2 %26amp; 3) were actually shot at the same time for various reasons. The movies you mentioned are almost industries with a built-in audience. A producer with money would be willing to invest in them because of this. Does it work? Sometimes, and sometimes not.

The Black Magician Trilogy - Trudi Canavan reading order?

So I read The Magician's Apprentice and at the start it had the standard "These are other books I've written." And it has 'The Magician's Apprentice' followed by the the Black Magician Trilogy, the first of witch is 'The Magicians' Guild'



Now, judging from that, and what is in the book, I'm guessing that The Magician's Apprentice is a prequel. Now the thing is, as a guess, from whats in the book it seems to be a prequel in the same way star wars 1, 2 and 3 are prequels, in that you're supposed to watch 4, 5 and 6 first. It seems to give too much away, not that I've read the sequals, but it just seems that way.



Does anyone know for sure? Have I ruined it for myself? Or am I being paranoid and it's meant to feel like it's giving away the ending?

Anyone know what's going on with NCsoft?

I first created my account when I prepurchased Aion waaaaaaaay back when. So late last night I decide I want to do the free trial of Guild Wars (Was thinking of buying the trilogy box) but every attempt to log in results in this message "We were unable to verify your login. I read that NCsoft's servers recently got attacked majorly by a hacker. So I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has been keeping tabs on what the *%26amp;$# is going on?! Or if it is more likely I got banned for something I didn't do but they just decided it wasn't important enough to let me know my security had been compromised?Anyone know what's going on with NCsoft?

I have to write four articles and make a newspaper for a literature project. I have chosen the book to be the Dragon Heir, by Cinda Williams Chima. It is the third novel in the Warrior Heir installment. Please don't criticize TOO much because I am only in Intermediate School. Some things are not actually true in these stories and were not said about in the book. Here is the first article:

The History of the Weir

Beyond the humans, there is a bigger group of human-beings. Magical people who have powers. There are five magical guilds. The five are wizards, enchanters, sorcerers, warriors, and soothsayers. All members of the Weir carry a Weirstone, a magical stone that is the main source of thir power that is behind their heart. If the stone is removed, the bearer will die.

Wizards are the highest ranked because of their power to form magic out of words and charms. Also because of a covenant that was created by the first Wizard which enslaves the others to his will. Enchanters have the gift to charm people and can mess with the mind. Soothsayers are people who can look into the future. Sorcerers mostly focus on materials. They can make magical objects to use, but can not use spells. Warriors are physically strengthened. They are also called Weirlind and are the rarest of all. Wizards use them to fight and see who holds power each year. The wizards have two groups that rein for power. One is the Red Rose and the other the White Rose House.

Many of the people in the guilds are trying to overpower the wizards. Somehow, there must be a loophole to get out of the wizards’ enslavement.

The Mystery Of Madison Moss

Madison Moss is a senior student attending a high school in Trinity, Ohio. Her hometown is Coalton County, a mining town. She went to Trinity to start a new life with an art career, which she would have to take step by step. You can find many of her art displays such as sketches, paintings, and water colors all around the small town.

What was very strange was that on Saturday, the owner of the hotel she was staying at said that she found her room empty except for a painting. The painting was locked up in the closet with a sheet over it. . Everyone said that it was a picture of the beach, but Seph McCauley disagrees. “When I went to see the picture, iy was something totally different. When I saw it, I was taken back to a horrible memory. After that, I was ill for a very long time. ” He reported. Madison’s room was also torn apart as if someone broke in. All drawers were open and her bed sheets were torn.

We now still do not know of what has happened to Maddie Moss. People in the town have gone out to search for her at once. We hope that she can come back home safely.

The Seven Great Blades: Two Found?

Many people have learned about the Seven Great Blades. The Seven Great Blades are magical swords from deep into the guilds’ histories. Supposedly, Ellen Stephenson and Jack Swift from Trinity, Ohio have two of them. “The boy, Jack, had one’a dose sords u was talkin’ bout. Was named Shadowslaye’. Wheweeee! Them combined was notin I’ve eva seen before! Was like dey were one. Sword shined so bright it’r hurt’in ma eyes.” Said an insider. Apparently, the insider said that he also saw a girl, Ellen, with another one of the Seven Great Blades, Waymaker. Waymaker was wrought by sorcerers in Dragon's Ghyll under the rule of the Dragon Aidan Ladhra with the Shadowslayer. We are not sure of this, but it seems that another great part of history has been discovered.

Anaweir, non-magical people, are going on with their normal lives, not aware of what is really happening. All around them are people from the guilds. And those in Trinity, Ohio don’t know that there is a war surrounding them. The other guilds such as warriors, enchanters, and seers are going against the wizards. This does seem like an unfair battle, but I can insure you that it is. Many people do not know who will win. Trinity is a sanctuary where you can not use dark magic to hurt people. The people in it such as Seph McCauley and Jack Swift are working to not let the wizards, the Red and White Roses, in. While the Roses are making a web so none of the people in Trinity can get out, they are also trying to break into Trinity’s own web. A web is a magical barrier made by wizards to keep people in or out. There are many types of webs that can catch different types of people. We think that the reason they are trying to break in is because the people hold something very powerful, the Dragonheart. It’s powers are unknown, but surely it is very prized for everyone to be fighting for it. Who will win? What will happen next? Would someone please help me with some video gaming advice?

I really can't decide on buying a Xbox 360 slim or a Playstation slim so here is what i've come up with. Buy both console's and only exclusive games for my PS3 like Infamous 2, God of War trilogy, Resistance 3, Killzone 3. Final Fantasy Versus and so on. Then buy only multi-plats for my 360 like Gears of War 3 (exclusive I know), Bulletstorm, CoD, Brink, Edler Scrolls: Skyrim, Dragon Age 2 and so on. Then save games that are designed for PC like Crysis 2, Guilds Wars 2, and Diablo 3 for my computer. Dos this sound like the best idea considering exclusvies own on the PS3 and multi-plat games apparentely play better on the Xbox 360 and PC games are made for MMO's and Crysis? Personally, I see no reason for buying only exclusives or only multi-platform for any given console. I bought both the 360 and the PS3 specifically so that I could play the exclusives on both.



Multi-platform games I buy based on the type of game they are. The PS3's controller rules for anything that involves platforming but sucks for shooters. The 360's controller is great for shooters but awkward for a lot of other things. RPGs play fine on both systems. So I get my platformers on PS3, my shooters on 360, and my RPGs on whatever's convenient (usually whichever system Gamestop has a used copy for, since I refuse to buy new most of the time).Would someone please help me with some video gaming advice?
Cod and elder scrolls are both on ps3. Dude i was like you not to long ago. I went with the ps3 slim. The reason i didnt go with the xbox is its cost more money after you buy everything, for example: 1 yr of live 60bucks plus play and charge kit thats 20 plus and now you have already spent 80more dollars then you wouldent have had to if you got ps3 and that was only two items. I hate how everyone says xbox live is so much better then psn. Yea psn does everything xbox live can do except one thing, cross game chatting but thats it and yea they get content for games 1 month before everyone else but its 1 month its not long at all. Is 60bucks really worth to just be able to cross game chat? Hell no at least not to me. What about all the disc your xbox will scratch? if you move the xbox while the disc is moving which most people wouldent it willl scratch your disc so badly. Microsoft cant even but protectors on the disc tray to protect it. Even the ps2 had protectors. How lame is that? With xbox you have alot of hackers, with ps3 you still might have alot of hackers but not nearly as much as xbox. What about the huge power brick? Yea ps3 doesnt come with a head set but you can use almost any bluetooth. What about the hard drive? With xbox you can only use the xbox hard drive with ps3 though it uses a laptop hard drive and xboxes can only hold up to 250gb max. with ps3 harddrive we have 750gb max and our hard drives are way cheaper. For a 250gb hard drive its about 50 bucks. For an xbox 250gb harddrive its 130bucks. RIP OFF!!! Ps3 hardware failure is way lower then xboxes even the slim model gets rrod. Get a ps3. Xbox will barely have any exclusives coming out after gears of war 3. Ps3 exclusives library list keeps growing each year. Psn really isnt bad at all. I really like it. The ps3 controller has built in battery so its already ready to charge, we also have six axis wwhich works in games like gta iv. I really hope you will decide to get a ps3 for it is way better. Xbox 360 uses an hd dvd disc which only holds 8.5gb ps3 uses blueray which holds up to 50gb. That means more content in games. Ps3 has an 8 core processor when xbox 360 only has a 3 core. 5cores is alot more even if only 6 of them are used for gameplay. Ps3 graphics are better. The only thing bad about the ps3 slim is no backwards compatibility with ps2 games but who doesnt own a ps2? And you can now buy one for 40bucks. Rate my answer as best and get a ps3 slim

I also get money by helping my aunt (she never called so i did'nt get that money TSH). I need another way to get money. Which games should I ask for Christmas?

I'm deciding what I should ask my family for Christmas. Things I am considering are:



Black Ops PS3- Pretty fun, rented before and will probably be one of my choices

AC Brotherhood- I'm not sure how long this is going to last me (Campaign)

Guild Wars has a free trial of the Prophecies campaign which you get about 10 hrs of game play which will give you a feel of the game to decided if you like the game for yourself.



You can go to http://guildwars.com/freetrial to signup for the trial and to download the guildwars client.
-If you liked Black ops get that, it's great and the campaign is surprisingly good

-AC Brotherhood's campaign is longer than the last game with a wider variety of missions and has GREAT multiplayer

-If you use a headset alot then get one, whether you want that one or a cheaper one your choice.

-Look at some gameplay of Guild Wars, see if it appeals. I've never played it for longer than 30 mins, so...

Avatar The Game, Is it the graphics?

Ok, so I just got the Avatar game and when I played it on my laptop it played slow (as I thought it would) But it played really slow. However I'm a little confused because I'm able to play games like Guild Wars Trilogy (on high settings by the way) with no problems. So my question is this:

I'm actually amazed that your laptop is able to play anything. At all. I'd imagine it would have problems playing MS DOS games from the early 90's.

Any way I can download this game?

A few years back I purchased the Guild Wars trilogy. I have an account that has characters from Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall on it. I stopped playing about a year and a half ago, and since then I've had to do a system restore to my laptop, so Guild Wars is no longer on my computer. Unfortunately, my ex has the discs that I would need to re-install the games, and there's no getting them back. I found a download for Prophecies on the GW site, but there are no downloads for the other two.



Does anyone know how I can download Factions and Nightfall for free, since I already bought the games and have characters on them? Maybe a good file sharing site or program (I'd hate to do it this way, but I refuse to buy the games again, especially when GW2 is set to come out next year)?

You can download a full client from guildwars.com. Don't worry over not having the discs. As long as you remember your login and password, you don't need the discs. Go ahead and download the Prophecies version that you found. It will contain everything you need to play all 3 campaigns.



As you play you'll have to re-load each area as you visit it. To avoid that, set up a desktop icon with a -image command line option and run it sometime when you're not using the computer. It will force a full download from Arenanet's servers. For example, your normal game icon probably points to "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe".

Change that to "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -imageAny way I can download this game?

The download off steam is 4GB which is pretty hefty on my Broadband and would like to rather install it off a CD if possible.INQUIRY INVOLVING STEAM!?
Guild Wars isn't one of the games you can do that with.

Definitely! People still play it! The people who say that guild wars has died are ones whose friends/guildies have left. Frankly, a majority of the people who play guild wars are not hardcore gamers. The beauty of guild wars is that you can leave for a month and won't really miss out on the fun. I bought the game back in 2005 and played frequently over the course of a year. I occasionally played the game from 2006-2007. When 2008 came around, I was addicted once more.I have lost friends and gotten kicked out of many guilds due to my prolonged absence. However, I keep meeting more and more different types of people whenever I log on after my hiatus. It is a truly fun game and gets extremely addictive. Concerning the amount of players, the population really peaks during Christmas break, march break, and the summer holidays. Those are my favorite times to play. There are three campaigns for you to beat and plenty of newcomers in the same boat as you. Don't listen to the nonsense spouted by the guild wars veterans who say that guild wars has died because an online game cannot "die" in any physical sense of the word, unless all the hard drives containing all the servers and data were destroyed in a fire or flood or something of that nature. ;)Does anyone Still Play GuildWars?

Guild wars level cap at 20 still?

hello, i am waiting for my trilogy pack to come in the mail, but was wondering, i was looking and reading around and saw it says the "Level Cap" is level 20? is it still like that or did they raise it? because i was looking at this page here http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Level and as you can see on that page it shows the levels going past level 20? so did they raise it or is it still level 20? and if it is still 20, how long does it take to reach it, and what is past 20? i mean i know you still get points and stuff to put into skills i think thats what they are for, but what is there? i mean....if you can only reach 20 then the max hit in the game must be under 500.... and if not, dang there powerd in this game.Guild wars level cap at 20 still?
The level cap is still 20. I don't think that will ever change. Once you hit level 20 you still get skill points, but your level can't change. You also should have 200 attribute points to distribute among your attributes. Once you hit 20 you'll have 170 attribute points, but you'll need to complete 2 quests for the last 30 points. Each campaign has 2 quests to get them.



You can reach level 20 very quickly in Factions and Nightfall. It takes a bit longer in Prophecies. However most of the game content was meant to be played with a level 20 character. Everything before that is simply an extended tutorial.



Oh, and monsters can go over level 20. That's probably why the page lists them.

GUILD WARS? WHICH GAME?

I have the trilogy. Just got it today. I'm confused on which game to play. I played the first GW game for a bit and it seemed really hard, the henchmen die a lot. (am i suppose to have friends to do missions?). I then tried factions and it was pretty decent, no tutorial crap required. Nightfall was okay too, but kind of the same with factions. All along, I thought all the games were tied together, but now I find out that the trilogy are three different games. Should I just skip to Nightfall? Which one is the funnest, without having to finish all the other games? What did you guys do, most importantly? I'm a huge GW noob, I don't know anything, and I find the missions and quests to be an utter waste of time. Also, if you make a PvE char, can you still PvP? Or if you want to PvP, you have to make a PvP char. I'm so confused. help!! don't know which game to play!.GUILD WARS? WHICH GAME?
If you're completely new to GW's you should start on Prophecies,it's the training campaign.Very slow and takes longer to level up but gives you time to become accustomed to the map (s) and get a decent skill bar.

Sounds though like you just want to be thrown straight into it, in which case i'd say nightfall.The hero's you get are pretty useful,you can equip them With skills of your choice and control them too.Henchies do die easily,so yeah on missions it's easier to find a group,especially if you're not quite sure how to do the mission.

NF is pretty long but very quick to lvl up, i think Factions is more fun, it's shorter and again quick to lvl.

Yep they're all stand alone campaigns ( the exception is EOTN ) but you can take your chars from one campaign to the others by way of quests in Lions Arch,Ascalon, and Kaining Centre.

I think you should do Nightfall or Prophecies first. Oh, and you can still PvP if you have a PvE character, but you have to reach level 20 first. That's the reason there are PvP characters. That way you can verse other people without having to take the time to level your character.

The quests and missions are the point of the game. If you have no desire to do anything of that, return it to the store or make pvp characters only. You have to do quests and missions to level up eventually. Killing things will get boring really fast. Start with prophecies, it's the most in depth although in my opinion the hardest. Factions and Nightfall both have mini-tutorials to cover the basics covered in the first part of Prophecies. If you choose to use a pve character you'll eventually need to do the missions and quests to progress. It's an awesome game, give it a chance and you might find those quests and missions aren't so bad. They are all tied together eventually. In Prophecies you need to get to Lion's Arch to get to the other games, and Kaineng Center in Factions and to a certain level and take a certain quest in Kamadan to get out of NF.
