Guild wars expansion packs?

Hello.

so yesterday i went to guildwars.com %26amp; installed the trial %26amp; played it.

it was really good that it convinced me to buy the actual game.



but my question is :

if i get the original ''guild wars'' and ''guild wars 2'' , will they work?

or i should buy all the expansion packs before ''guild wars 2'' ? such as ''the nightfall, eye of the north, factions'' ..

because i didnt like any of them.



i just want GW 1, 2 %26amp; the extras that was recently released.

1st. Guild War 2 isnt coming out until mid-2010

2nd. Getting the trilogy pack along with Eye of The North, is your best option. You will get access to every skill, and trust me once you finish prophecies you will want to move on to the next campaign.

Unless you are referring to 'Factions', GW 2 is not out yet and has no known release date at this time. Factions and Nightfall are both stand alone games, Eye of the North is the only true expansion. You should get all of the regular games first, but you don't have to. You can buy whichever ones you wish to play, as long as you don't buy just Eye of the North. The extras are always available in the NCSoft store once you load your games. They are an additional charge though, but the bright side is, there's no monthly fee.
