Question about Guild wars?

I've been thinking about buying GW trilogy and was wondering do people still actively play the game, and how is the guild system and instances and such likeQuestion about Guild wars?
Well, I haven't played GW for a year, but back then the online community for the game was still quite strong. If you went to one of the main hub towns, you could easily find several hundred to a couple thousand people in the same town as you. (During special events, you get 50x the number of people at least.)



Of course, you're only allowed to adventure with up to 8 people at a time in the questable instances, but I found that to be a plus more than a minus. I also never really got into guilds, but each guild is allowed to buy its own "home base" that serves as its own hub only accessible by guild/alliance members.



I definitely recommend the purchase. It was a lot of fun for me, and it's easily worth the $30-40 or whatever to buy the full game, and the no monthly fees are nice.Question about Guild wars?
