Guild wars class combo?

Hello im playing guild wars prophecies (have whole trilogy but starting with first )

What are some good class combos :)

Im pretty much into anything except a rangerGuild wars class combo?
The fun of GW is finding out the different combinations you like. No profession is necessarily better then another, it's how you like to play that matters. You get to start with 4 character slots so try out various combos and see what you like.

Suggestions -

The most basic would be to start with a Warrior and then get Monk as your Secondary. This way you can simply learn how to use skills in combat and have a way to heal yourself efficiently.

Elementalist is another good way to start as you can cause more AoE (Area of Effect) damage and learn how to use spells in combat.

Necromancer is good too as you can create Minions from corpses to fight with you.

I would wait on trying a Mesmer or Monk as your first characters. They are both very good, but the tactics for a Mesmer aren't as straight-forward, and a Monk's main value is in a party in the beginning. However taking Monk as a secondary is always a good choice when you are just starting out so you can last longer by self-healing.

Don't completely give up on a Ranger. Ranger is nice as you can use Beast Mastery to have a pet to fight with you. After you try out the others you might want to give one a shot.

All class combos are doable in Guild Wars. It depends more on your personal style of gaming than anything else, really. Some combos work better in certain circumstances, but the game is constructed such that any class or class combination can be successful.

As has already been said, a Warrior-Monk combo is both easy and fun to play, especially at first. Straightforward. My Warrior uses a Mesmer second profession most of the time for the great interupt spells, and Monk secondary heals tend to be pretty weak.

Elementalist-Monk will work in a very similar way as a back-row character.

Check out the www.pvxwiki.com for all sorts of 'builds' for all class combinations.

Ranger is my personal favorite, but try a Warrior/Monk combo. This way, you can heal yourself on the front lines, and tank your way through the game lol
I was a Warrior/Monk when I played and I found it to be quite fun. Plus you could do runs for people which could get you money.
