GUILD WARS QUESTIONS!!!!!?

I just got the trilogy for summer vacation. Things got off pretty slow, in fact, it's still slow. I'm in Old Ascalon and the missions are kind of boring. Is this when the game is suppose to be fun? because I'm not enjoying myself too much. When do you get more skills? I only have noobish ones from pre. Leave your IGNs if you can, I need some GW friends. haha...and a guild perhaps. All the ones I joined have one person online only--%26gt; Me.GUILD WARS QUESTIONS!!!!!?
Prophecies IS the slowest campaign, but then it's the 'training campaign' so it has to be.It does get better though after Lions Arch.Factions and Nightfall are much quicker and easier to level up.

Back to Ascalon though, you can buy skills in Ascalon, providing you have the skill points to buy them with,be careful what you get though as if you make a mistake with a bad build its frustrating waiting to level up again to get another point.

I've played for over 3 years,i love it.Have a level 20 in every profession, beaten all the campaigns over and over and know each mission like the back of my hand. But right now i'm too busy playing Sims 3 to go on GW's - give it a chance, you just picked the worst campaign to start with.GUILD WARS QUESTIONS!!!!!?
yep what he said ^^GUILD WARS QUESTIONS!!!!!?
Trust me, the game will get better as you level up and can do more stuff. Since you have the trilogy, that means that you have access to all the campaigns. Go ahead and create a 2nd character in Factions or Nightfall. Perhaps a change of scenery will help. Your characters will also level up faster in those campaigns.

Finding a good guild will help you as well. When you see recruiters in town, ask them a few questions about their guilds before joining up. You want one with at least 20-30 active players that's also friendly towards new players.

Here are some sites that may help.

www.guildwarsguru.com - Fan forum with a large user base. Beware though, they have a lot of disgruntled trolls that post there as well. However they also have a forum specifically for helping people find guilds and for guilds to recruit.

http://guildwars.wikia.com - The Wikipedia for Guild Wars. Everything you ever wanted to know about GW but were afraid to ask. Seriously!! EVERYTHING is on this site. Bookmark it and refer to it often.

www.pvxwiki.com - Builds for every occasion. Lots of good ideas here, but I'll warn you that the builds are designed for level 20 characters. It's probable that you won't have many of the skills yet that are in these builds, but you can get ideas here and see what works and what doesn't. Bookmark it and you'll use it later.
