Guild Wars: Skills and Campaigns?

I recently bought the Trilogy pack and began playing and have not yet purchased EoTN. Given if I purchased EoTN, would I be able to unlock EoTN's skills if I used skill merchants in other campaigns(like Nightfall, since I started as a Dervish)? Or must I enter(and purchase) EoTN with my dervish and buy skills from those merchants in order to receive EoTN skills?Guild Wars: Skills and Campaigns?
You can only get EotN skills from playing thru EotN. Each profession has 10 extra skills that are only available from skill trainers in EotN towns. However it would be possible to unlock these skills thru Balthazar faction and learn them with a tome. This you could possibly do without setting foot in EotN.

But the best skills from EotN are the cross-profession skills. There are about 12-13 skills in each EotN's race line that any profession can use. These are Deldrimor Skills, Asuran Skills, Norn Skills and Ebon Vanguard Skills. You'll earn these skills by completing quests in EotN and you can't get them from a tome.

Also if you are at all interested in purchasing GW2 when it's released, you'll want to buy EotN. This game servers as a bridge between the GW and GW2. It introduces many of the playable races in GW2 and has a Hall of Monuments where you can store your achievements in GW for unlocks in GW2.Guild Wars: Skills and Campaigns?
You would have to enter EoTN to get EoTN skills. Note that a LOT of the more interesting merchants, skill merchants included, require that you have a certain level of faction standing before they will offer you their wares. There are also a number of quests that give skills.

You would most defiantly have to be in EoTN to capture EoTN elite skills.
