It is possible to change your SECONDARY profession and only your SECONDARY profession. To do so you must either be Ascended (Prophecies), Weh no Su (Factions), or have completed the "Hunted!" quest (Nightfall). After fulfilling one of the three requirements, go to a profession changer and for a fee of 500 gold you can unlock a new secondary profession. You can do this as many times as you like. Also if you want to switch back to an old secondary profession that you've had before, just open up your skills menu and in the drop down menu select the secondary profession that you want to switch to.Guild Wars (Campaign/Profession) question?
Yes, if you want an A/P then go ahead and create your assassin in Factions and pick any 2ndary. Play thru the storyline until you finish the Nahpui Quarter mission. At this point you'll be considered "Ascended" and can change your 2nd profession. There is a profession changer in Senju's Corner where you'll be after the Nahpui mission. I think he lists all professions, but if the NF ones are missing then you can just go to the Great Temple of Balthazar and use the profession changer there.
