Which Guild Wars do you think is best?

My parents gave me Guild Wars Trilogy a couple years ago and I haven't really done much with it since, but just today I had a weird urge to reinstall it and work on some characters. I think that the reason I never really got into it is that I wasn't sure which game/world to start out with, so I'd kind of like to hear some other players' ideas on that before I get started.

So which do you think is best? Guild Wars, Factions, or Nightfall? I obviously am new to Guild Wars, but I used to play a ton of mmorpgs (especially WoW because I'm lame and like simple games) so the overall idea isn't new if that changes anything.

Thanks for your help!Which Guild Wars do you think is best?
Story wise, the original Guild Wars (Prophecies) is great. If you ever plan to play Guild Wars 2, then know that Prophecies plays in the same region (Tyria) as Guild Wars 2, only 250 years earlier. So if you have played through the Prophecies story, then there will be all kinds of small nuggets of info in GW2 that you will recognize. On the other hand, character develops in Prophecies is quite slow, and that campaign doesn't really have a great tutorial.

So if you're pretty new to the game and want to give it a try again, then I recommend starting with Nightfall first. It also has a really good story, but in addition it has a fairly good tutorial, and it has heroes (customizable companions), which will make life considerably easier for you. At a certain stage in the game you can even bring that character (with the heroes) over to the Prophecies campaign and play through that as well (you'll just miss the Prophecies starter area, but you can always do that part with a second character).

And please do keep in mind that Guild Wars isn't a true mmo... although you'll meet other people in towns and outposts, all adventuring areas are instanced, so it will just be you and your party when you're out adventuring. Then again, the good thing about that is that there will be no kill stealing or loot stealing. Guild Wars 2 *will* be a true mmo, but that's a completely different game :)Which Guild Wars do you think is best?
