the class i perfer i would have to say fellows in the order i postI have a Question about Guild Wars.?
One of the great things about Guild Wars is that every conceivable character class combination can be played with great success. And within every class combination there are plenty of possible 'builds' and variations. It is part of the fun of the game to explore the possibilities and try out the different combinations.

Having said that, I think if you are a first time player you should probably start out in the Prophecies campaign (Pre-Searing) as the easiest and most useful training area. I think Warrior or Elementalist are the easiest of the classes to learn with, as at low levels they are the most straightforward to play. Monk as the secondary class gives you some minimal self-healing capability, and later on gives a reusable Resurrection capability which can be highly useful.

Of course, a lot depends on your own style of play. I have 10 character slots and have a wide variety of characters that I play somewhat depending on my mood. When I'm not too 'sharp' I tend to play my Warrior or my Dervish characters, as I can do so without having to concentrate too much! If I'm feeling up for a bit of complexity I like playing my Mesmer or Assassin characters. These take a bit more thought and need a bit more flexibility to play optimally.

Hope you have fun with the game. Have a little patience and be willing to try different things and you'll likely have a lot of success. Much luck!
